This website is operated by IDES Pvt. Ltd. ("IDES", "IDES-GLOBAL", "we", "us" or "our"), a group company of Consulting Engineers Corp. (CEC), Reston, USA. IDES provides structural and geotechnical engineering consultancy to architects, builders and contractors globally.

These Terms apply to your use of the website only. Any engineering services we provide are governed by a separate signed proposal or contract, together with our General Terms & Conditions for services.

2. Use of the website

You may use this website for lawful purposes, such as learning about our services, viewing our projects, contacting us, or applying for a role. You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape or republish website content for commercial use without our written consent
• Upload files that contain viruses, malicious code, or material you do not have the right to share
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or connected systems
• Use the website in any way that could damage, disable or impair it

3. Information only, not professional advice

Content on this website, including project descriptions, service details and technical information, is provided for general information only. It is not engineering advice and must not be relied on for design, construction or any project decision.

Professional engineering advice is given only under a signed contract, for a specific project, by our qualified engineers. References to licensing across US states and to building codes describe our capabilities in general and are not a representation for any particular project or jurisdiction.

4. Project enquiries and submitted drawings

When you contact us, use "Talk To Our Engineers", or send drawings or a project scope, you are making an enquiry only. No client relationship, engineering duty or obligation to provide services is created until both parties sign a written proposal or contract.

Any initial comments we give on an enquiry are preliminary. They are based only on the information you provide and are not a design, a certification or a guarantee of cost or turnaround time.

By submitting drawings or project information, you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it with us.

5. Proposals and engagements

Where we issue a proposal following an enquiry, the following apply unless the proposal states otherwise:

• Scope: we perform only the services specified in the signed contract; additional services are charged at our listed hourly rates
• Estimates: any estimate of time and materials is an estimate, not a fixed price
• Validity: proposals must be accepted within 30 days, after which they may no longer be valid
• Payment: invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date
• Governing terms: the signed contract and our General Terms & Conditions for services govern the engagement and take precedence over these website Terms

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, project images, layouts and software, is owned by IDES or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference, but you may not reproduce, modify or distribute them without our written consent.

All drawings, calculations, reports and other documents we produce for clients are instruments of our service. IDES retains all intellectual property rights in them, as set out in the relevant contract.

7. Confidentiality of your submissions

We treat drawings and project information you send us as confidential. We use them only to evaluate your enquiry and prepare a response or proposal, and we do not share them outside IDES and its group companies except where required by law.

Unless a contract says otherwise, we are not obliged to retain submitted material for more than one year, or longer where the law requires. Please do not send material that is subject to export restrictions or third-party confidentiality obligations without telling us first.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, IDES makes no representation, guarantee or warranty, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or completeness. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IDES, its officers and employees are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content. In no event are we liable for consequential, incidental or indirect damages, including loss of income, profits, use of property or other business losses.

Liability for engineering services is governed solely by the risk allocation terms of the signed contract for those services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IDES, its officers and employees from any claim, damage, liability or cost (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or material you submit that infringes another party's rights.

11. Third-party links and social media

This website may link to third-party sites, including our Instagram, X and LinkedIn pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

12. Careers and job applications

Job listings on this website are for information and do not form an offer of employment. Information you submit with an application is used only for recruitment and handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
